Netflix officially announces 'Outer Banks' season 2

CHARLESTON, S. C. (WCIV) — After months of speculation, Netflix officially announced the return of "Outer Banks" for a second season. The streaming service took to Facebook to post a short video with the stars sharing the good news to fans. The story follows close friends living in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Social circles clash surrounding the promise of treasure, and the teens soon find themselves on the run. Much of the show's first season was shot in the Lowcountry.
